About me...

My partner's cousin drew a picture of me in about 30 seconds.

This is what she saw...

I'm repeatedly reminded throughout my life of the importance of selling oneself. It isn't easy.

So I'm comforted then by the fact that we tend to sell ourselves most effectively when we are totally unaware. Those qualities that are so ingrained in our nature, that speak out in spades in spite of the awkward silences, roving eyes and rapidly forming continents of sweat.

To know this is to let go. And in letting go, you can be yourself.

In being yourself, you are at your most convincing.

This can be applied to any communication. Take out the honesty and sincerity and what you are left with is something which lacks credibility and ultimately, value. Which is why for me, the most important thing is to produce work that above all feels honest.  Know the true nature of what you are dealing with and let it speak out.

My approach to life has been somewhat multidisciplinary, starting out in Archaeology and ending in Advertising, ‘A to A’ as opposed to ‘A to Z’. A circular progression as opposed to a linear one.

And despite the inherent differences between disciplines, I believe all lessons learned and experiences obtained end up in the same rich bubbling ocean from which creative ideas and solutions to problems rise like a mist.

I hope you enjoy looking though my work as much as I enjoyed making it.
